Today is Father-Daughter Take A Walk Day and my mind is filled with thoughts of my incredible father. We haven't always seen eye to eye, but as I've grown older, I've truly appreciated and admired his hardworking, creative, and skilled nature. He may not have been the perfect parent, but his determination and love shone through, and that's what truly matters.
My father is a true jack of all trades, capable of handling any task that comes his way. Whether it's fixing cars or designing graphics, he is a master in his own right. It's that quality of fearlessly taking on challenges that I find most inspiring. Despite our past disagreements, I've always respected his work ethic and his dedication to our family.
As a woman veteran, my journey has been far from easy. However, I've always felt my father's support, even when I didn't feel it from anyone else. As I reflect on my accomplishments, I hope that I've made my father proud. From serving my country to starting my own business, I've achieved a lot and I want nothing more than to bring a smile to my father's face.
Although we live miles apart, I won't let that stop me from honoring my father on Father-Daughter Take A Walk Day. We still talk all the time, and even when we have our debates, I often let my father win (well, most of the time). Today, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to my father for always being there for me, for his unwavering support, and for being an inspiration in my life.
