Kisha's Story

I had been running for far too long.

I was a mother of three, and I felt like my life was spinning out of control. With more than 27 years in the Army Reserve and a full-time civilian career on top of that, I was exhausted from always having to move at breakneck speeds.

But no matter how hard I tried to slow down, things always seemed to pile up. With no time or energy left to take stock of my mental health needs, life had become an unstoppable freight train of chaos, leaving hope and sanity in its wake.

Everyone has a breaking point.

2019 nearly brought me to my breaking point. I was a shadow of myself, drowning in depression and anxiety. I had completely checked out! After months of struggling, I finally admitted that it was time to ask for help.

Reaching out and sharing my story with loved ones was an uplifting moment in a very dark chapter. With the support team I'd built around me through counseling professionals & close friends, slowly but surely, I made my way back into living life again.

This has been my motivation for creating this organization. Everyday isn't always easy, but I'm still here!

If I can make it, you can too!
